In my middle age I worked hard every day as a teacher in the elementary school. I had to teach the children in my class and take care of classes and colleagues.
I liked working very much because my job was interesting and the children used to behave well. I enjoyed it for a long time. When a problem happened in another class, I have to think about it in order to solve it. Although it was difficult to solve the problem. I found some fulfilment in the challenge of my work.
Moreover I got a salary every month and I did not need be worried about my life. However the society has been changing. The children have also changed. I have been getting older too and I began to feel the generation gap. Therefore I decided to retire from my job.
On the other hand, I do not have any responsibility now. Maybe seems as if it is not worth doing, I want to do anything I am interested in. I am free and I have enough time. I do not need to worry about work but I am worried about my future, especially money such as my pension and my savings. I think that life is difficult.

I respect your courage to go abroad to study. I can't even think of it because I'm afraid of everything that I'll give up. I'm sure you will have a bright future.

As I said before, I think that it's great that you decided to learn English in your age. You might be a late learner but that doesn't mean you can't be good at it. Enjoy your life, the best part of life is its unpredictableness ;)
Learn to old. It is really a high level of life.
