My perfect day by Kueng-Te

My perfect day is going to New York Yankees Stadium. As you probably know,The Yankees Stadium is holy site for crazy baseball fans except Boston Redsox fans who might think the Fenway Park.

Of course, I might go there with my friend. He is also crazy about baseball. When we watch baseball games, we talk about Yankees team a lot. In the end, the dream will come true.

I will enjoy watching the baseball game which is in New york and Boston game. Both team's stater pitchers will be Pettite and Matsuzaca. I might shout loudly the player's name when they show us brilliant plays. Very fasinating game!! It dosen't matter which team wins. The most important thing is I am there.

After finishing the game, I will be allowed to go a locker room. I'll see a lot of famous players, shaking a hands with them, a lot of pictures being taken. I won't forget to ask for captain Derek Jeter's unifrom.

This is my perfect day. I won't miss eating a big american hot dog while watching it.

My perfect day was the winter holiday with friends two years ago.
We stayed for free in a hotel that belongs to one of my friends' company. After a late lunch, we unpacked our luggage and talked while drinking and snacking.
When it became dark, we decided to go night-snowboarding. Actually, I had never tried to snowboard before. Two of my frieds, who were pretty good at snowboarding, taught me some basic skills. And then I tried to snowboard according to their instructions. In an hour we left the beginner's slope. In a few hours I snowboarded quite well than I had expected. All my friends were surprised at my progress. In the end, I moved to another slope for intermediate boarder. When I went to the top of the slope, I was scared by the steep slope. Hesitating for a moment, I succeeded in going down. While I was snowboarding, I fell down just a few times and enjoyed it very much.
We went back to the hotel very late. After a shower, we had a drink for a while and then had a sweet sleep.
It was a perfect day except for the traffic jam and my friend's carsickness.

My perfect Day by Jaco

Can you imagine such a day ?
Last my winter holidays I visited Italy.I went there with my best friends.
We spend our leisure time on skying. It was noon. We become a little tired. Around us was a completely white landscape. Not far from us we could see only a few trees, which gave a dark spot of shadow. There was no people could us distarbed. We were alone, sitting on the snow, looking at the high mountains which surrounded our small group. We had a few bottles beer, so we could drink it together. It was so warm that I took off my polar, which I bought that year. We started speak with each other and even sing. Our song was mixed with song of birds, which was the first sign of comming the spring.

my perfect day by Isobel

I need just a few things which makes me happy; A cozy and toasty couch, a book which can inspire me every moment at every single line, a piece of music, a cup of coffee and little bit of conversation with my friends.

Basically, the day needs quite a lot of extras! It will be better if I can afford to buy bottles of wine, and of course it would be best if I can lie on the couch which belongs to quiet and atmospheric spot, some kind of Italian restaurant, bar or something with soft and slow, but little bit rhythmic music. Maybe the friendly madam who I had known for ages would refill my coffee gently without any notice. And if I feel hungry, she would serve delicious food such as lasagne, pasta and fresh crab salad till late night. Finally when I and my friend would be drunk and stuffed, we could go to my flat and watch movies or talk until the sun rises. That’s my perfect day and the day I won’t ever forget because of deep moment of being with my people.

My perfect day is getting up late in the morning on holiday and having a cup of tea and breakfast which is more delicious in bed. The warm sunshine which Spring has come finds its way into my pretty room, I listen to the violin sonata which I extremry like .
I spend a quiet time.
After a while I get out of bed and air the futon I feel warm yet. I feel a spring wind and go out walking by the riverside. Cherry blossoms are blooming beautifully. I enjoy spring and go home.
I make coffee, a good smell hangs over in the room. I watch my favourite film drinking the coffee. And then I call a friend and have a chat with her.
I have lunch, sea food and fresh salad, and I have a cup of tea. Time is spent calmly.

It is about my career. I’m an officer of some international organisation like UN, WTO. I prepare papers, drinks and check the equipment for people attending the conference. After finishing it, I go to a luncheon party in a posh hotel. It is great. The delicious food, glamorous atmosphere, I enjoy it, and I go home to finish my report.

When I’m at home I read a book in a Jacuzzi with a glass of whiskey. In the evening I go to the theatre with my perfect, tall, handsome, intelligent, humorous boy friend to see the musical “Chicago”. And then we go to a fabulous, lovely, and luxurious fusion restaurant. It is a kind of buffet having almost all kinds of food of all over the countries. Besides if we want specific dishes, we can choose the ingredients of our dishes. The restaurant is on the 133rd floor, so we can see the downtown with beautiful lights of the skyline. We talk about our day with delicious food and wine.

My perfect day must be a warm, sunny day with a light wind in May. I’d go on a short trip with my best friends by train. The train would go by the beautiful mountains and the river which would make us happier while we are looking out the window. We’d chat all the time during our short journey and eat our lunch. The final destination would be a quite place like a beach which is not very popular. If it is a beach, probably, we’d take a boat which goes at very high speed on the sea and eat a fresh sea food dinner. After eating dinner, we’d chat all night long with some snacks and drinks. We’d go to bed when we feel very tired and sleep until about noon the next day.

My perfect day was the day I spent with my family, friends and played basketball.
I got up early that morning to watch a Houston Rockets’ match on TV. I like Rockets and Tracy MacGrady. I am so happy that the Rockets won the game in the end. Then I went to my grandparents’ home with my parents. My cousin and his family were waiting there to have lunch together with us. My grandmother is really good at cooking. I enjoyed the lunch. After lunch, the whole family went to a park near my grandparents’ home to take photos. Then, I went downtown to meet my close friends. We went to ktv and spent the whole afternoon there. Then we had a big dinner downtown. Unfortunately, it started to rain when we left the restaurant. So we decided to play basketball inside. Three hours later, we decided to go home. I side goodbye to everybody and gave each one a hug, because it would be the last time I saw them before I went to England. It was a nice day.

MY PERFECT DAY by viki with r.c.

My perfect day, which isnt common for me exactly in this form, was about two weeks ago. My family, and my children, who are lovely, went to London, which is a great city, to the Zoo, which is fun. That was the first day in our life, which is very exciting with them, that I can enjoy the fact that they hadnt grown up yet, but they could do their things on their own. They walked on their own feet, ate alone, we had a lot of fun together, and they didnt cry at all. It was very tiring, because we started early in the morning, went by bus, which was empty, we spent the whole day outside: but they were amazed. It wasnt work for me, it was entertaining and relaxing, we had a great time together. I cant tell about the time before that, that was really fantastic. And it is only the beginning...

My perfect Day by Akiko

My perfect day is definately a sunny mild day in spring which is my favorite season. The ideal temperature is from 20 to 30. I would go to a park in the city centre to see flowers, blooming beautifuly at the moment. It makes me feel relaxed and calm. The important point is taking my lovely clever well-behaved cat with me. It sould be astonishing to passers-by as it is walking along the pavement steadily, being curious about a few things it's never seen before. I haven't seen someone taking a cat to a park like a dog though, I wish I could have a cat like that. And then I would eat some junk food in the park, preferably Mcdonald's. But it's ok if it's Burger King. After lunch I would read a book, petting my cat sleeping next to me.

My perfect day was the first day I came to oxford. It was in May and I got really drunk. I ate at home and then went out drinking with my friends. We went to the Bridge and drank. It was my first party and it was great!

My perfect day took place on a lovely hot day in September. My sister Fiona and my husband Jonathan and I decided to go to the beach together. We made a delicious picnic to take with us. I still remember what we took! It was slices of roast beef, a chick pea salad with lots of roasted red peppers and cumin seeds. We also had a French baguette and some dark rye bread with a special type of cheese made in our region. For dessert we ate watermelon, peaches and blueberries and some lemon cheesecake.
The beach in our village is generally very quiet, but in summer it can get a bit crowded with tourists, many of whom return year after year. However, on this beautiful September day the beach was deserted except for the three of us and one man walking his dog way down the beach. We just chatted, read our books, ate when we were hungry and swam when we were hot. We also walked along the shore collecting sea shells and drift wood. My neighbour's children were using them to make a 'display' in their garden, so we wanted to help them out by contributing to their collection.
Later that evening we returned home and had a barbecue. We ate out on our deck and watched the gorgeous sunset over the water.
My parents and some other relatives were there, and we stayed up late enjoying each other's company and listening to amusing stories about my parent's life when they were young and didn't have electricity or running water!
That was a day I hope I never forget. I doubt I will!

Perfect day in the Lakes by Meriel

Have you seen the 'Beatrix Potter' film? If you have, you will know how beautiful the Lake District is. My perfect day is to escape to the hills in spring with my husband and children, staying in a cosy cottage amid this wonderful scenery. The day starts with a gentle stroll by the lake, past daffodils and new-born lambs followed by an early stop for lunch at a traditional pub. A sandwich, crisps and a half pint of shandy to boost the energy then a brisk walk up the hills past a waterfall and small tarn until we reach the summit. The spectacular panoramic view requires a photo session while we sit in awe, admiring the beauty of it all. And as the afternoon sun draws in we head off over the hill. And the perfect end to the perfect day? Cumbrian sausage and mash back in the pub by a log-burning fire. Mmmmmmm!

My perfect day by Tatiana

My perfect day is sitting on a beach with a good book in Thailand or Greece. I don't want to do anything, just be very lazy, reading a good book, swimming and maybe some snorkeling. Of course a perfect day has to have perfect food: I love eating good food like fresh fruit, a greek salad with olives and seafood, especially lobster. After a long day of just lying in the sun maybe I'd like to finish the day with a little bit of dancing and then sleep in late the next day.

The first half of our lives by VIKI

The first half of our lives is ruined by our parents, and the second half by our children

If it is true and you can enjoy it you are lucky. There are lucky people who have great parents. They have time for their children to play, to teach them and it isn’t forcing it is only showing the way.

Of course few of us are so lucky… then it can be hard. But maybe that person is lucky who has somebody who hard on him or her.
It depends on your thinking.

The other half… your children. You are ruined by them, it is fact. But it was your decision. You wanted them. And it is a really short period in your life when you are totally ruined by them! After some really hard years they grow up and you are free again, but not completely. In your mind you always think of them; worry about them; want the best to them.

Now and the future is the best time of my life by Ellie

It has been 9 weeks since I came to Oxford. There were several problems and worries about going abroad, but I reckon it was the best decision I have ever made. Time flew so fast from the first day I arrived in England, but the sad thing is I feel I gained less than I had expected about my English proficiency before I came here. Maybe I expected too much, but I can’t say that because I haven’t tried that much to say like that.

I have already spent quite a lot of time uselessly. I often promise myself not to waste time ‘from now on’, but so-called ‘from now on’ is getting later...

Most of my friends have jobs, earn money regularly while I am studying abroad. Sometimes I feel I am doing nothing better than they are: I am a rather late developer. I am in a period of chaos like an adolescent, but I am sure there will be a better future after this time. I hope I will attend a university that I want. I hope I will have a nice job, meet my soul mate, get married, and live happily ever after. There are many exciting things waiting for me.

First you are young; then you are middle-aged; By Hashim

First you are young; then you are middle-aged; then you are old; then you are wonderful.

Life sounds hard now, but when a child comes into it everything drops. People start taking time off it just to hold them. The child grows up owning the world. Feeling that everything is easy to get and they will be young forever. Approaching middle-age, and feeling the royalty within. The thing about life is starting with love and ending by being and feeling wonderful. Having a nice family who will give back love they got before, watching the grandchildren doing what every chilled do. Remembering what I used to be when I was their age. What do you think?

I WANT TO DIE YOUNG AT A RIPE OLD AGE by Gang

I live a life because it is worth experiencing different periods in my lifetime. In childhood I have happiness. In teenage I get knowledge .In adulthood I will be responsible for my family. In middle age I will be happy to see my child grow up to be a successful person. In old age I will enjoy the happiness of retirement.

Finally, I think it is enough. I do not want to be the burden of my family.
So I want to die young at a ripe old age.

Hardest and happiest time of my life by Eunhee Jang

Generally, the last year of high school in Korea is the hardest time of most teenagers’ life. They need to choose either getting a job or going to University and whichever they choose, life is not easy.

I went to a high school with a quite good reputation, so my senior year of high school was literally ‘HELL’. Most of my friends chose to go to college and we needed to study from 6 am to 12am. I even moved to a house closer to my school in order to save commuting time. However, I don’t think they were the hardest days of my life. Even though I had to spend most of the time studying, I enjoyed my studies and made lots of good friends. Because spending a lot of time at school was a good opportunity to spend more time with friends. In spite of the hard situation, I have enjoyed it.

All would live long, but none would be old by Hisayo

In my middle age I worked hard every day as a teacher in the elementary school. I had to teach the children in my class and take care of classes and colleagues.
I liked working very much because my job was interesting and the children used to behave well. I enjoyed it for a long time. When a problem happened in another class, I have to think about it in order to solve it. Although it was difficult to solve the problem. I found some fulfilment in the challenge of my work.

Moreover I got a salary every month and I did not need be worried about my life. However the society has been changing. The children have also changed. I have been getting older too and I began to feel the generation gap. Therefore I decided to retire from my job.

On the other hand, I do not have any responsibility now. Maybe seems as if it is not worth doing, I want to do anything I am interested in. I am free and I have enough time. I do not need to worry about work but I am worried about my future, especially money such as my pension and my savings. I think that life is difficult.

Age is something that doesn’t matter: Akiko&Jacek

Age is something that doesn’t matter, unless you are a bottle of wine

In my opinion every body may feel happy independently of age. I totally agree with this expression because when you are old you will have a great deal of knowledge. It should be the reason that everybody would respect you. I think that feeling good in life depends mainly on my attitude to other people. If I like them, I like myself and I can be happy.

You will find how wonderful life is when you are mature with lots of experience. A long life, especially with family or with friends allows anybody to evaluate the happiness of passed days. So, don’t be afraid to become old. The older you are the happier you will be. After 80 you should be like the best Bordeaux.
